Ashton joined Biyoshi in 2010 and has worked her way up to a level 2 stylist. She attended Tennessee School of Beauty in 2009 and was a member of the design team. Since joining Biyoshi, she has had hands on classes with Redken and Pureology educators, such as Ruth Roche, Patrick Fitzwater, Michael Cole, and Brayden Pelletier. Ashton has been trained under award winning and successful Salon Biyoshi owner and stylist, Brandon Harris. She attended Redken's Symposium in January 2013 in Las Vegas and took numerous classes from top Redken educators. She feels education is very important to the salon industry and plans to further and continue her education at every opportunity. Her goal for each and every one of her guests is to make them feel absolutely pampered and beautiful!
What are you currently working on?Working on my skills and techniques, there's always more room for new education. I'm always working on growing my business even larger than it already is!
How do you spend you free time?
Working on my new home, spending time with my friends, family, and my furry baby, a Pomeranian named Roxy.

When did you know you wanted to do hair?
I've dreamed of doing hair ever since I knew what hair was! I've ruined a few Barbies in my day.
Describe your approach to doing hair. What inspires you?
My clients inspire me! I try to give each and every guest my 100%.
What advice would you give to someone coloring their hair for the first time?
First I would ask them their daily routine of doing their hair, whether or not they're willing to deal with the maintenance. If they're wanting to do something completely different, i would encourage them to take baby steps, and work their way to the desired look.
How do you approach a haircut?
If it's a new guest, I sit them down and ask what she's looking for. I ask if she would change anything about what she has and go from there. I'm all for creating that special look for each and every one of my guests.

How do you customize a hair color for each and every guest?
I decide what they want and what their goal is. Then I would customize a color determining skin, eye, and natural hair color.
