When did you know you wanted to do hair?
Middle school. I loved to experiment with hair and makeup and often practiced on friends. A friend's mom always said, "you'll be a star, or you'll be doing hair for the stars"!
How would you describe your approach to doing hair?
I love people and I love to talk. I always try to get to know each guest on a very personal level. Once I know a lot about them, it makes it easier to find a cut, color and style that works best for them.
What inspires your creativity?
Everything! Education, I crave to learn new things. But also my co-workers, current trends, runway looks, strangers on the street. See, I told you everything!
What advice would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time?
Start simple! Find pictures of things you like. Communication with your stylist is super important. Once you're comfortable, try taking it up a notch.
How do you customize a hair color for each and every guest?
Consulation is the first and most important step. I like to find out what they don't want first, then make suggestions based on their personality, profession and style.
What celebrity always has great hair?
Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna and Sandra Bullock.
How do you approach cutting hair?
First and foremost, I have to know the person's needs and wants. It's important to make sure you fully understand what they like and don't like. It's my job to communicate and make sure each person is totally comfortable through the whole process.
Describe your personal style
Professional Fun, Comfortable, and Non-fussy.
