What are you working on right now?
Eventually, I would like to become a Pureology PureArtist, so I'm working on all the necessary steps to get there when I can. Right now, I'm trying to be the most awesomely awkward hair stylist that I can be.
How do you spend your free time?
Trying/failing at training my husband to pick up after himself, trying to make my cats obey me, binge watching full seasons on Netflix, and hacking my co-worker's cellphones to change their lock screen to goofy pictures of my face. I love making them laugh!
"Happiness is just a hair flip away!"
"If you're going to be weird, be confident about it."
When did you know you wanted to be in the beauty industry?
I considered it while I was in the womb, but decided to fully commit when I was in my mid-20's. I am in love with what I do, and I am so glad I made this decision. I'm living a dream.
What celebrities always have great hair?
Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lawrence, Hayley Williams, Ryan Gosling, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt
What is your personal style?
In nutshell, if the band Blink 182 and the actress Zoey Deschanel morphed into a lady, it would be me...pop-punky, with a sprinkling of sweet and quirky.
How do you approach a hair cut?
Usually from behind...ha ha! :) But all jokes aside, a good consultation! I try to ask a lot of questions to make sure we understand each other before we begin. Communication is huge!
What advice do you have for someone who wants to color their hair for the first time?
Commit to it. Think about it for a while. Maybe try a semi-permanent color before permanent.
